BUTEX Youth Club Hosts Successful National Textile Olympiad: Celebrating Excellence in Textile Engineering
National Textile Olympiad, a prestigious event organized by the BUTEX Youth Development Club, took place on July 29 at the BUTEX C conferences hall, witnessing an impressive participation of 700 students from 33 different campuses.
The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Shah Alimuzzaman Belal, the esteemed Vice Chancellor of BUTEX, who attended as the Chief Guest. Alongside, distinguished guests included Engr. Shafiqur Rahman, President of ITET; Engr. Md. Moniruzzaman Badsha, Managing Director of FIAT Fashion Ltd; Engr. Syed Mohammad Ismail, Country Head of Archroma; and Engr. MD. Shariful Islam (Sharif), Managing Director of Auxicolor Bangladesh Ltd. The event was also graced by Engr. Touhidul Islam Kakon, Joint Secretary of ITET; Engr. Abdullah Al Mahmud, DGM of Dysin Group; Dr. MD. Emdad Sarkar, Moderator of BYDC; and Md. Toriqul Islam Tipu, along with Md. Abdullah Joy, President, and Secretary of Bangladesh Student League, BUTEX. The occasion was gracefully presided over by Abir Mohammad Sadi, President of the BUTEX Youth Development Club.
The National Textile Olympiad holds immense significance for students pursuing textile engineering as it provides an excellent platform for honing their skills, preparing them for the future workplace, and adapting to the ever-changing world of textiles.
Throughout the event, students showcased their exceptional talents in various categories. Shahadatul Islam Sajid of BUTEX emerged victorious in the mobile photography category, while Shariful Islam Rishad of Noakhali Textile Engineering College claimed the top spot in the camera photography category. Ashraful Islam of BUTEX impressed the judges in the digital art category, and Imtehan Emon of Pabna Textile Engineering College demonstrated his prowess in the drawing category. The video presentation category was conquered by Gov. College of Applied Human Sciences, with Tranthi Saha securing the win. Abid Hasan of BUTEX showcased his knowledge in the textile quiz competition and Md. Mahmudul Hasan of BUTEX excelled in category B. The Article Writing category saw victory by Ahsanuzzaman Roni of BUTEX.
